Helical and bevel helical gearboxes

Description

Elecon has experience and continues to manufacture several sizes of gearboxes for cooling tower applications, designated as KBVCT.

These are two-stage gearboxes, with the first stage consisting of a spiral bevel pair that is case-hardened and lapped, and the second stage comprising a helical pair that is also case-hardened and ground.

The output shaft is typically positioned vertically upward, designed to handle the dynamic thrust and weight of the fan, thanks to the thrust bearing integrated into the gearbox.
