Series
C
Description
Series
C is a combination gear where the first reduction stage is a helical gear stage
driving worm shaft and worm wheel gear pair. This design helps improve the
energy efficiency of the worm units which traditionally have not needed to take
sustainability into account. By using a first stage helical set we are also
able to ensure high rations are achieved in a very compact design.
The
power range is up to 45 KW power and up to 10,000 Nm in output torque.
The
Series C is part of our SWIFT series and therefore shares modular components
with our Series M helical gears and Series K bevel gears. Our modular component
system allows us to minimise inventory, enhancing the availbility and reducing
lead times for our customer of the SWIFT product range.
The
electric motor is always an IEC standard motor mounted in a hollow shaft via a
patented composite bushing. As Radicon’s SWIFT series uses IEC motors as
standard, we can maintain a relatively small stock and still deliver at short
notice.
Using
IEC standard motors ensures a wide selection of electric motors, including
brake motors, motors with extra cooling, extra energy-efficient motors, and
more. Additionally, IEC standard motors simplify life for end users, as these
motors are readily available worldwide.
Series C can be supplied as 2-, 3-, 4-, or
5-stage reduction gearboxes in various configurations such as flange-mounted,
foot-mounted, or shaft-mounted. Common equipment includes backstop and encoder
flange.
All
SWIFT gears feature innovative cast iron housings designed for maximum strength
with minimal material usage. This sustainable approach ensures rigidity and
minimizes torsional stresses.
